On Friday 28 August 2026, during Women’s Month, the RichMond Plumbing & Sanware showroom in Glenashley filled with conversation, coffee and a great deal of inspiration. Together with our partners at GROHE, we hosted An Inspiring Morning, a GROHE Women in Design event created to celebrate the influential and talented women who shape our industry.
From 09:00 to 11:00, guests settled in over a relaxed breakfast, mimosas and good coffee, surrounded by the beautiful bathroom displays that make our showroom such a special place to gather.
A morning of connection
The idea was simple: bring remarkable women together in one room. Designers, creatives and industry professionals arrived to meet, share ideas and celebrate one another, and the energy from the moment the doors opened was exactly what we had hoped for.
Women’s Month is a reminder that our industry is made richer by the people in it, and this morning was our way of saying thank you to the women who inspire us every day.
Our guest speaker, Nthabi Taukobong
The heart of the morning was our guest speaker, Nthabi Taukobong. Nthabi took the room through her story with honesty and warmth, and her talk left a real mark on everyone who was there. You can learn more about her work at nthabitaukobong.com.

“The Real Interior”
Nthabi also gifted each of us a copy of her book, The Real Interior, an inspirational narrative about her life and career. Born in Soweto in the 1970s, during the turbulent apartheid era, Nthabi learned early on the importance of excellence and perseverance.
The book is candid about her formative years and follows her remarkable journey from Soweto to Canada as a Rotary Exchange Student, a trip that changed her perspective for good. It also tells of her studies at Natal Technikon, now the Durban University of Technology, and the path that led her to a dream job at a respected interior design company in Parktown North, known for its work on luxury hotels and casinos.
It is a story of courage, curiosity and determination, and we are honoured to have a copy in our showroom.
